Mission

The mission of the Woodway Water Authority is to provide safe, high-quality drinking water services to its customers in an open, honest, and efficient manner and to be good stewards of the resources provided to us.

Story

The Waterworks is a Community Waterworks owned and operated by the Woodway Water Authority (WWA), a publicly-owned waterworks chartered by the Virginia General Assembly. It serves Elk Knob, Dot, Woodway Communities, and residents along the US Route 58 corridor from the Town of Jonesville to the Powell River crossing in eastern Lee County.

1 – 8 Inch Tap fees are subject to current market material and labor costs.

**Rate Increase for August 1st, 2024
Effective 8/1/2024, water rates increase to $31.04 for the first 1,000 gallons, and any usage of over 1,000 gallons is $8.09 per thousand gallons.

As of August 21, 2024 the boil water notice has been lifted for Woodway Water customers from Lee's Food Mart to the river bridge on Hwy 58.
